To improve the control and prevention of echinococcosis, the working ability and manage skills of the health workers, NHFPC held a training course for echinococcosis control and program management on Aug. 2014 in Chengdu. The staff of NIPD actively participated in. The progress of the national program, current features of echinococcosis, its strategies and preventive measures for the disease , the Action Plan of Control and Prevention of Echinococcosis in 2010-2015 and Surveillance Project of Echinococcosis were introduced in the training course. All the participants discussed how to face the challenges in the disease control and improve its efficiency of the control measures.
